Town Talk

Denver Daily News staff report

Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 4-6 p.m. with two-for-one drink specials.

Check them out Thursday and Friday nights when they feature live music!

Mention this town talk and a half-price entrée with the purchase of a regular priced entrée.

SNARF’S: When a 4-20 rally took place on April 20 at 4:20 p.m. (coincidence?) at Civic Center Park, Snarf’s saw a gold mine of an opportunity to market its tasty sandwiches to a bunch of folks who likely had quite a gnarly case of the munchies at the time. So they sent the Snarf’s guy, pictured here, to mingle with the revelers.

Snarf’s has locations in Boulder and Longmont and has recently set up shop at 1001 E. 11th Ave. in Denver.

Snarf’s offers sandwiches, soups and salads as main courses.

Sandwiches include such classics as meatball sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches and more. And you also can score such specialty sandwiches as prime rib and provolone cheese sandwiches, corned beef brisket sandwiches, and Swiss cheese, artichoke, feta and provolone cheese sandwiches, and more.

Yum! And there’s so much more!

Salads include toasted bread, and you can get such items as the Snarf salad — consisting of julienne turkey, ham, American cheese and Swiss cheese, garnished with hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and onions on a bed of lettuce topped with chopped bacon. Mmm!

Another favorite is the cobb salad (who doesn’t love cobb salads?) with avacado, American and provolone cheese, garnished with chopped tomatoes, onions and hard boiled eggs on a bed of lettuce topped with chopped bacon.

And all of their dressings are made from scratch and include blue cheese, creamy parmesan, Italian, ranch, raspberry vinaigrette, sesame shitaki and thousand island.

Of course there are several more sandwiches and salads, and you can always ask for the soup of the day.

And to top off that meal, you can get a milk shake, malt, brownie (not those kinds of brownies, 4-20 revelers), cookies and ice cream.

Snarf’s is open from 11 a.m .-10 p.m. daily. To learn more, visit www.eatsnarfs.com or call 303-832-9999.
